Caring for your knife

When it comes to knives, at the end of the day, they are tools. However, if properly treated and cared for, an SKT knife can last generations. At Shield Knife & Tool, we only use high-quality materials. With that being said, high quality is high quality but still needs to be cared for if it's going to remain that way. 
 See below for your knives' steel and it's proper care instructions:

 

CPM 3-V Steel
  • Light edge touch-up after extreme use
  • Proper cleaning & drying after getting wet, bloody, etc.
  • Store in kydex sheath dry

 

CPM 154 Steel
  • Light edge touch-up after extreme use
  • Proper cleaning & drying after getting wet, bloody, etc.
  • Store in dry environment

 

DISCLAIMER
If left in moist or humid environment, surface rust may inhibit on your knife. Surface rust will not ruin or harm your knife as long as it does not sit, allowing it to pit rust.
